Transfer Students
  1. Students applying as post-freshman admission, have to provide an official Transcript from another accredited University or equivalent educational institution and possess a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 or above. 

  1. Transfer students to undergraduate program must submit Valid Certificate of a Standardized Test of Eligibility in English (EmSAT, or TOEFL, or IELTS Academic) or equivalent as approved by the Ministry of Education-Higher Education Affairs. The score as mentioned in the undergraduate admission requirements. 

  1. Transfer students to undergraduate program must submit Certificate of a Standardized Test of Eligibility in Math (EmSAT-Math) or the alternative requirement as mentioned in the undergraduate admission requirements and approved by the Ministry of Education-Higher Education Affairs. The score as mentioned in the undergraduate admission requirements. 

  1. subjects completed in the previous educational institution may be accepted in the undergraduate program at IMT Dubai by meeting the following provisions: 

  • Applicant must submit an official transcript attested by the MoE-HEA showing all credits and grades earned, along with a detailed description of the courses to the Admission Office. 

  • Only subjects with grade C and above, or its equivalent will be accepted. 

  • Only subjects relevant to the study plan of the BBA program will be considered. 

  • subjects should bear at least two credit hours; however, one or more can be combined to equal one two credit hour course. 

  • The subject’s content must be equal to approximately 75-80% of the IMT Dubai course content. 

  • Only 50% of total credits shall be considered as transfer credits. 

  • If the student studied the same course in two different educational institutions, only one of them will be considered. 

  • The subject was not a part of Foundation and/or Intensive English Programs. 

  • The Course Mapping Committee shall review the student’s request for transfer credits and submit its recommendations to the Admission department to inform the student and process the application. 

Notes

  • Grades of the transfer courses earned at the host institution are not used in calculating the student’s CGPA. 

  • Students shouldn’t have been dismissed from their previous institutions for disciplinary reasons. 

  • Transfer credit hours will only appear on the IMT Dubai transcript when the Registrar receives the official and attested transcript of the student’s previous institution.

You receive a decision on your application approximately within a week. On receipt of offer letter, the applicant is required to confirm their acceptance and register for the program on or before the date specified in the offer.

  • Certified copy of the Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent. Grade transcripts must be attached for non-UAE High School Certificates.
  • A certificate of English proficiency.
  • Passport-sized photographs (4).
  • A scanned copy of the picture page of your passport (and Residence Visa for UAE residents).
  • Equivalency Certificate from the UAE (MOHESR).

All applicants for admissions to the undergraduate programs at IMT Dubai are required to obtain an equivalency of their high school certificate from the Ministry of Education, UAE. The attestation process is dependent upon whether the student has completed their schooling within the UAE or abroad.

Applicants who complete their secondary schooling within the UAE:

  • Must obtain an Equivalency Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education for secondary schooling studies undertaken in the UAE.
  • These students are provisionally admitted to IMT Dubai and are permitted to commence the first semester of study subject to the student obtaining an Equivalency Certificate.

Applicants who complete their secondary schooling outside the UAE:

  • These applicants are provisionally admitted to IMT Dubai and are permitted to commence the first semester of study. They must, however, have their Secondary School Records and Certificates of Completion certified by:
    • The issuing Board of Secondary Education or a recognized authority for secondary education in the host country in which the applicant completed their education
    • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in that host country
    • The UAE Embassy in that host country
  • Additionally, the UAE Ministry of Education and Youth in Dubai must attest all secondary school certificates and transcripts issued outside the UAE.
  • In special cases where complying with conditions (b) and (c) are not feasible, the certificates may be verified against originals by Embassies in the UAE and UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

If the applicant is selected by the admissions board but is unable to secure the Equivalency Certificate as outlined above before the beginning of the semester, he/she will be asked to sign a “Consent to Provide Documents” form agreeing to secure the equivalency. The applicant will be permitted to commence his/her studies at IMT DUBAI however, will be given a maximum period of one (1) semester to obtain the equivalency certificate.
