Overview

Dr. Akanksha Saxena serves as a Lecturer in Finance and Accounting department at the Institute of Management Technology, Dubai. Prior to her association with IMT Dubai, she gained valuable experience at Indian Institute of Management Rohtak and IBS Hyderabad, following the completion of her Ph.D. Dr. Saxena holds a B-Tech degree from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and an MBA from Indraprastha University, New Delhi. She is also a UGC-NET certified in Management and earned her Ph.D. from IBS, Hyderabad.

Before embarking on her doctoral journey at IBS Hyderabad, Dr. Saxena contributed her expertise as a Relationship Manager at HDFC Bank in Mumbai and Pune. Her research focus during her Ph.D. revolved around debt structure and firm life cycle. She has shared her insights through numerous research articles published in esteemed journals, including the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services (ABDC – A), International Journal of Managerial Finance (ABDC A), Applied Finance Letters (ABDC – B), Indian Journal of Economics (ABDC – B), and others. Dr. Saxena has presented her work at various national and international conferences, including the World Finance Conference, India Finance Conference, Pan-IIM Conference, NISM SEBI Conference, and more.

Her areas of research expertise encompass corporate finance, behavioral finance, and asset pricing. Currently, she is actively engaged in research projects related to organization capital, firm life cycle, sustainable finance, and other pertinent topics.
