Dr. Gita Bajaj is passionate about learning and development and has devoted 26+ years working with business leaders, executives and students to facilitate their personal and professional growth. She is a certified Inner Metrix coach, and has conducted coaching for several executives, and students. In 2017, at the Certified Innermetrix Coaching Conference, Dr. Bajaj was conferred the Award for Best Training Need Analysis of L&D Teams of two Oil Companies using Innermetrix ADV Profiling. She has conducted training and facilitated learning for more than a thousand professionals from leading corporates from India, US, Australia, Japan, Slovenia, and the UAE. ABB, Cairn India, Eli Lily, Acconex, Shapoorji Pallonji International, Schneider Electric, ICAI Dubai, are some of her many prestigious clients. Dr. Bajaj is a Harvard Business School Affiliate, and serves on the Board of educational institutions and review board of publications. Dr. Shahina Javed:

Dr. Shahina Javad is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management & Organizational Behavior at IMT Dubai. She is a fellow (PhD) from XLRI, Jamshedpur, India. She has completed her MBA (with first rank) from University of Kerala. She has qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship in Management and is a recipient of the prestigious Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the University Grants Commission, India. She has around 7 years of experience in industry and teaching. Her professional experience are in the areas of Change Management, Project Management and E-governance. Her research focuses on leadership, organizational politics, human capital, pay satisfaction and high performance work systems. Dr. Shahina holds Career Management, Hiring and Performance Appraisal course certification from HARVARD-ManageMentor®. She has completed Leading People and Teams Specialization from University of Michigan and People Analytics course from Wharton Business School through coursera.org.
Whether we enjoy a lively debate or we prefer to suppress our feelings over disagreements, most of us struggle with conflict at work. Every day we navigate an office full of competing interests, clashing personalities, limited time and resources, and fragile egos. We may agree with our colleagues on common goals but may differ on the process of achieving the goals. We work differently. We rub each other the wrong way. We jockey for positions.
This program is about how to address conflict to improve both – your work and your relationships. Is that possible? You start by identifying whether you seek or avoid conflict, identify most common reasons for disagreement, and knowing what approaches work for what scenarios. You then plan and play out a constructive conversation.
Constructive conversations require you to be skilled in articulation, listening, influencing and negotiating. Managers who learn the science of persuasion, and master this art of influencing and negotiation, benefit themselves, the other party, and also the organization. The results are most dramatic in times of change. When there is chaos and everyone is attempting to figure out their act, the possibility of creative outcomes and innovation become most distant or most possible, depending on whether or not you have the skill of managing chaos to build capability, and to convert conflict and confusion to enduring and positive change.
